LAKE MACQUARIE AT ITS BEST FOR CENTENNIAL COAL YOUTHSAIL LAKE MAC |
 | |
The inaugural Youthsail Lake Mac regatta was well supported with 60 entries in three divisions, Junior, Intermediate and Senior. Entrants came from clubs around the lake and also from the Central Coast and Sydney. Visiting clubs also supported the event with rescue boats and crew.
Wind was lacking at the scheduled start time for the morning race so the Race Committee postponed and ran two races back to back in the afternoon in a light but steady 8 to 10 knot breeze.
The regatta received generous support from major sponsor Centennial Coal and also from Zhik and Ronstan as well as local businesses Bob Fussell Marine and Event Cinemas. |
