WINTER PRESENTATION 2008
Ross Wylde-Browne, Monday, 11 August 2008The Wangi Sailing Club's annual winter presentation sponsored by Drayton's Family Wines was held in the Clubhouse on Saturday the 9th of August, 2008.
The three series, Saturday races, Achenar (spinnaker), Commodore's Cup (non-spinnaker) on alternate weeks, and the Wednesday Barrcroft series were all closely contested.
The Presentation was a fun event with our women sailors featuring prominently. This was the first official duty for our new Commodore who was resplendent in his new 'whites'. ANNUAL SAILORS' MEETING
Ross Wylde-Browne, Friday, 6 June 2008The Club's annual Sailors' Meeting was held on Sunday June 1 at the Clubhouse. It was well attended by interested sailors and race administrators. There was spirited discussion regarding race procedures for the new sailing season which commences in September. A number of new ideas were discussed, and these will now be fine tuned by the Sailing Committee for ratification at a general meeting.
